  • Unstabilized or inorganic chlorines. Under this category, we have several pool chemical sanitizers that are used in pool chemistry adjustments. They are Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCL). Calcium Hypochlorite. Lithium Hypochlorite (LiOCL). Chlorine gas.
  • Stabilized or organic chlorines. The chlorinated pool disinfectants or sanitizers that fall under this category are considered stabilized chlorine because they contain carbon atoms. Stabilized or organic chlorines come in two forms. They include: Trichloro-s-Triazinetrione.

 This chlorinated pool chemical is also known to us as Trichlor or Trichloro-Isocyanuric acid.

Sodium Dichloro-s-Triazinetrione. This pool water disinfectant is also referred to as Dichlor or Dichloro-Isocyanurate.
